It’s super easy to make your own homemade whipped cream topping. You can use a magic bullet or a milk frother. I prefer a milk frother for cheesecake topping because it comes out a little thinner while the magic bullet makes a thicker volume-esque cream for tarts.
This is also less sweet than store-bought whipped cream and has a much creamier consistency. Try out this recipe on a no-bake pie.

Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/8 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
Magic Bullet
- Add the heavy whipping cream and the sugar to a magic bullet cup and use the flat blade. Blend until thick (usually the bullet changes sound once fully whipped).
Milk Frother
- Add the heavy whipping cream and sugar to a bowl. Use the milk frother until thick (it might take quite a few minutes to get it to the right consistancy.
